Cosmic Vision



Visual echo -
Echo.

Yearn to plunge into cosmic abyss,
harvest frosted emeralds
from the underwater world
materialising beneath
vintage liquid swell.

Flirting with
phantasm.

Nearing with earnest endeavour
propels me into cosmic chasm,
I observe a mystical sphere,
detached from mortal part,
existing only in reverence.

For people too lazy to interpret for themselves :P (Lick) ...

I was inspired by a feeling that I got when looking at my eye in the mirror. This poem basically evokes the imagery that I felt at that time.. like reaching into an ocean and plucking the emeralds from the bottom .. and then trying to conceptualise what is beneath those emeralds.. beneath what I can see in the mirror.. and the closer I seemed to get to those green crystals in my eye, the more detached I felt from my body..

Beautifully deep poem. Emerald's are a fav of mine. Sounds almost like an out of body experience into the cosmos. Good work!

And i see what you mean by abstract, I liked this but I just don't think the structure/pattern was really my taste... but very cool and original! Totally cosmic! You should win.
